Tyrex Recycled Rubber Door & Step
Ramps
Stay-put anti-slip ramps suitable for interior and
exterior use to provide anti-trip and wheelchair access to steps and
thresholds. On uneven surfaces Tyrex ramps will flex and grip to provide
a more stable footing than ramps made from more rigid materials.
Ramps are available ex-stock in two profiles:
Australian Standard Ramps
(AS1428.1 2001), colour black
Wedge Ramps
other gradients, colour grey
Nominal dimensions and weights for Australian Standard and Wedge ramps are listed below. Additional sizes/colours can be made to order. These will attract tooling charges and 10-15 day manufacturing time.
All ramps have anti-slip surfaces that grip on most common underlays. If necessary, ramps may be adhered or mechanically fixed. Fixing is usually not necessary if ramps are positioned on carpet.

Tyrex Power Cord Protection Ramps are robust, stay-put anti-trip (edge-bevelled) anti-slip ramps suitable for interior and exterior use to protect cables from dislodgement or damage by wheeled and walking traffic, and minimise the risk of tripping. Ramp ends abut to cover long cable runs, and ramps can be cut to fit short cable runs.

Hobless Shower Water Retention Ramps
Tyrex Recycled Rubber Shower Water Retention Ramps
Tyrex Recycled Rubber Shower Water Retention Ramps are ideal to replace shower recess hobs and provide easy access for wheelchairs and persons inconvenienced by step-over structures.

SpecialCare Anti-Slip Shower Recess Mats
SpecialCare Anti-Slip Shower Recess Mats (not pictured) are manufactured to suit each request. Lead time is 10 working days from receipt of order. We require, ideally, a sketch showing the dimensions of the four sides, the measurement from each side to the centre of the drain hole, and the diameter of the drain hole.
If there is no wall or hob on one or more sides of the shower recess we can manufacture an anti-trip bevelled edge on that/those side(s). This Anti-Trip Safety Edge is an integrally manufactured part of the mat. It reduces trip hazards and facilitates the movement of wheeled equipment.
Most Shower Recess Mats are 10mm thick, but can be manufactured in greater thicknesses to 30mm. This facility can provide an Anti-Slip "In Fill" Mat:
- for showers that are recessed into flat floors thereby providing easy wheelchair access, etc
- for showers with a moulded base and together with a SpecialCare Wedge Ramp or Wheelchair Ramp installed external to moulded base provides easy wheelchair access, etc.
The product is porous and to an extent self-cleaning in the shower. However, we do recommend that (if necessary) the mat be occasionally placed against the shower wall to drain, then taken outside and hosed both sides, drained again, and returned to the shower recess.
